Corporations / Business Owners / Schools

and Other Organizations

Stress has been called the “health epidemic of the 21st century” by the World Health Organization and is estimated to cost American businesses up to $300 billion a year.

I offer lectures and workshops at workplaces, schools, and to various other groups. My courses have one main goal: Preventive Healthcare. They are designed to provide deeper understanding of what stress is, and how it influences work and personal life. The stress management techniques I teach in these courses are practical and improve overall health, which leads to fewer sick leaves. The courses can also inspire more focus, creativity, and better work atmosphere, which helps to achieve higher productivity.

Stress Management Lectures:

In this informative lecture we take a deeper look at what stress is and how it impacts work and personal life. Many practical tips are offered to enhance relaxation and work / life balance.

Stress Management Workshops:

This interactive workshop offers a theoretical and practicum part. Attendees will walk away with a deep understanding of what stress is, how they personally respond to it, and how it influences their work and personal lives. I offer stress management strategies that are practical and easy to incorporate into daily life. When you feel you can balance work and personal life, it builds self-confidence and a deep sense of fulfillment.

"Joy Anderson of Medesthai Chicago spoke with our group about Relaxation Techniques for Stress Relief, Sleep, and more.  Since we are a health and wellness oriented group, she tailored the presentation to our specific interests and needs. 'Interesting and informative' was what many participants said about her presentation. Others agreed she kept our interest. We would welcome her back to speak again."

Barbara Gier, Director, Center Point, First Health Associates Arlington Heights

"Joy Anderson's presentation, Stress Management: How to Live a Happier and Peaceful Life, was a breath of fresh air, literally.  She took participants through a breathing exercise at the end of her insightful and informative presentation, which allowed us to experience firsthand the large impact such a small action can have on ourselves and our surroundings. Her approach is so soothing, joyful, and inclusive that everyone can benefit."

Susan Barry, Instructional Design ManagerPearson North America Course Design, Development and Academic Research

"As part of an Affinity Networking Group at US Cellular, Joy Anderson came to our Itasca Office to help celebrate the International Women’s Day and held a seminar on Stress Management. Stress is something that many of our associates at US Cellular feel on a daily basis, for we work in such a competitive industry.  Joy’s presentation skills and material content were excellent.  The piece I found most enjoyable is her story telling, which helps you to understand the content with real life examples. The story telling made it more interesting and people engaged in the conversation.  When Joy was talking about Symptoms of Stress, there were items that I would never have recognized as stress. That was very powerful for my understanding; now I can act upon what is causing the stress. I would highly recommend Joy’s seminar or lecture at your place of business or another venue in any area she is educated in."

Kendall Schafer, US Cellular
